Walnut Fudge Recipe

 
 


To make walnut fudge you will need.

Ingredients

10 1/2 oz white Granulated sugar
7 oz brown sugar
2 3/4 fl oz single cream
2 3/4 fl oz Milk
2 tablespoons Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 1/2 oz Walnut-pieces

Instructions



Butter a 9-inch square baking dish. Butter the sides of a heavy 4 pint saucepan.

Combine sugars, cream, milk and butter in saucepan. Cook over medium heat,
stirring constantly, until sugars dissolve and mixture comes to a boil.
Cook to soft ball stage (238 degrees on sugar thermometer), stirring only
if necessary.

if you don't have a sugar thermometer, drop a teaspoonfull of the fudge unto a glass of cold water, leave for 30 seconds and then try and roll into a ball with your fingers, if you can't make a ball carry on boiling and testing every 10 minutes until done.

Immediately remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110
degrees). DO NOT STIR.

Add vanilla and beat vigorously until very thick and mixture starts to lose
its gloss. Quickly stir in nuts and spread into prepared baking dish. Score
while warm, and cut when firm.

Walnut fudge is a great sweet treat.
