Traditional Scottish Stovies Recipe

Ingredients To make traditional scottish stovies you will need: Left over Beef diced 4 large Potatoes cubed 1 large onion, sliced 1 tablespoon of oil 1 litre stock Salt and Pepper

1. Add the oil to a large pan and gently cook the onions until soft. Add the beef (chicken/lamb can be used if prefered). Add salt and pepper. 2. Add the potato and cover with the stock. 3. Simmer on the hob for about an hour or cook in the oven at 190c for about 50 minutes, keeping an eye on the stock level and top up if necessary.
Serve stovies hot. Ideal as a snack.
