To make 36 Oatmeal Cookies you will need
Ingredients
| 7 | oz | Sugar | | 6 1/4 | oz | Lard | | 3 | | Egg yolks | | 8 1/2 | oz | Flour | | 6 1/2 | oz | Oatmeal | | 2 1/2 | oz | Raisins; chopped | | 2 1/2 | oz | Walnuts; chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | Soda | | 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon | | 3 | | Egg whites; well beaten |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 170C
Dissolve the soda and cinnamon in 100ml water. Mix ingredients, add the egg whites last. This is a very stiff mixture -
but do not moisten. Drop with tsp. 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
Enjoy your Oatmeal Cookies with a nice cool glass of milk.
