Four Bean Bake Recipe
|
To make four bean bake you will need.
Ingredients
| 2 | cans | Butter beans; (15 oz.) | | 1 | can | cannellini beans; (15 oz.) | | 1 | can | Red kidney beans; (15 oz.) | | 1 | can | Baked beans; (27 oz.) | | 8 | rashers | Bacon | | 4 | large | Onions; sliced | | 4 | fl oz | Vinegar | | 1 | teaspoon | Salt | | 3 1/2 | oz | Brown sugar; (1/2 to 1) | | 1 | teaspoon | Dry mustard | | 1/2 | teaspoons | Garlic powder |
Instructions
Fry bacon until crisp and remove from frying pan. Saute onions in bacon fat.
Add vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard and garlic powder. Cover and cook 20
minutes. Drain butter beans, cannellini beans and kidney beans. Combine all
beans and pour onion mixture over. Mix gently. Sprinkle with crumbled
bacon. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees uncovered.
Serve four bean bake with creamy mashed potato.
