Enchilada Sauce Recipe

To make enchilada sauce for 4 people you will need
Ingredients
| 2 | pounds | Canned whole tomatoes | | 8 | fl oz | water | | 1 | | Clove garlic; roughly chopped | | 4 | tablespoons | Red chili peppers | | 1/2 | small | Onion; roughly chopped | | 1/2 | teaspoons | Cayenne | | 1/2 | teaspoons | Cumin; ground | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Oregano | | | Salt and pepper |
Instructions
Place all the ingredients (except the water) in a processor and blend until reduced to a
smooth puree, about 1 minutes. Transfer to a saucepan and add the water, bring to a boil over
medium heat, and cover the pan. Reduce heat to a low and simmer for 10 minutes, The sauce is done when
the raw tomato and red chili taste are gone.
This will make enough enchilada sauce for 4 people.
