Beef Barley Soup recipe

To make Beef Barley Soup you will need
Ingredients
| 1 | cup | Carrots; minced | | 1 | cup | Celery; minced | | 1 | cup | Onion; minced | | 2 | tablespoons | Beef base -or- | | 4 | | Beef bouillon cubes | | 2 | tablespoons | Chicken base -or- | | 4 | | Chicken bouillon cubes | | 6 1/2 | ounces | Pearl barley | | 3 | quarts | Water | | 1/2 | pounds | Ground beef | | 2 | tablespoons | Butter | | | Salt and pepper |
Instructions
Saute all vegs in butter until tender. In
separate pan, cook beef; drain. Add to vegs. Add bases, water and barley;
simmer 30 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
