Applesauce Fudgies recipe

To make Applesauce Fudgies you will need
Ingredients
| 2 | | Squares unsweetened chocolate | | 1/2 | cups | Butter | | 1/2 | cups | Sweetened applesauce | | 2 | | Eggs, beaten | | 1 | cup | Brown sugar, firmly packed | | 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla | | 1 | cup | Sifted flour | | 1/2 | teaspoons | Baking powder | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Baking soda | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Salt | | 1/2 | cups | Choped walnuts |
Instructions
Melt chcocolate and butter together. Mix applesauce,
eggs, sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients into
applesauce mixture. Stir until blended; add chocolate
and stir well. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan.
Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake in 350F. oven for 30
minutes. Cut in 2 inch squares; cool in pan on racks.
Makes 16.
