To make Apple Roll you will need
Ingredients
| 3 | cups | Flour | | 6 | teaspoons | Baking powder | | 6 | tablespoons | Shortening (lard) | | | Milk, enough to form biscuit batter, | | | Roll thin, cover with sliced tart | | | Apples, roll lke jelly roll and slice | | | Into a tin (good sized baking dish) put: | | 2 | cups | Maple syrup | | 2 | cups | Hot water | | 1 | tablespoon | Butter |
Instructions
Make rich baking powder biscuits using:
Bring this to a boil in hot (400) oven. Put slices in this. Bake until
brown and serve in cereal dishes with its own sauce poured over it. M.T.
