Apple Bread recipe

To make Apple Bread you will need
Ingredients
| 1/2 | cups | Shortening | | 1 | cup | Sugar | | 2 | | Eggs | | 1 | tablespoon | Baking soda | | 2 | tablespoons | Sour milk | | 2 | cups | Flour | | 1 | teaspoon | Salt | | 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla | | 2 | cups | Finely chopped apples | | 1/2 | cups | Nutmeats |
Instructions
Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Dissolve baking soda in sour milk. (1
tbsp. of vinegar plus 2 tsp. milk can be substituted in place of the sour
milk). Add sour milk and baking soda mixture to the creamed mixture. Then
add remaining ingredients and mix together. Put in a large greased loaf pan
and top with the following topping.
