Albanian Lamb Stew with Okra Recipe
|
To make Lamb Stew with okra for 4 peopl you will need
Ingredients
| 12 | ounces | Okra; fresh or frozen | | 2 | medium | Green peppers; diced | | 10 1/2 | oz | Celery; diced | | 4 | ounces | Onion; diced | | 4 | | Cloves garlic; pressed | | | Salt and pepper; to taste | | 4 | fl oz | Water | | 1 | pound | Roasted lamb; in bite size cubes | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Thyme | | | Paprika | | | Grated lemon rind |
Instructions
Cook okra until liquid evaporated in a frying pan, stirring
occasionally for 5 minutes. Add green pepper, celery, onion, garlic, salt
and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir to prevent vegetables from
sticking. Add water, lamb and thyme and simmer, covered, over Low heat for
20 minutes until heated through.
Serve the lamb stew with okra sprinkled with paprika and garnished with lemon rind.
